Animate drop of detail row

I had a chance to review your code and found where your showing and hiding the detail row. I was able to get it to do fadeOut and fadeIn but the slideUp, slideDown and even animate would not work. I know the rows are actually there, so your just making them visible as opposed to (display: none). Any insight as to what I need to do to get the animations in there?
