Project status and limitations?

Hi,

1. What is the current maintenance status of this project?
2. What are the limitations (if any) on the original PDF file size?

Issue

We're trying to make a thumbnail from the first page of possibly large PDF files. But it seem that PDFiumSharp can't handle large PDF files. Sorry, we're still analyzing the issue, so don't have more details.

What is going on? Can we select the specific page we want to create the image from?

Sorry for the late response. As you have probably figured out by now, this project is not actively maintained. I will probably update every few months if the need in my projects using it arises, but don't expect much beyond that.

I am not aware of any limitations. I have been using the library for documents with 500 to 1000 pages (text only, so relatively small file sizes).

@eabase What did you end up using to make thumbnails? One of my clients has been using PDFiumSharp to generate thumbnails for since May of 2021, but their service occasionally crashes during thumbnail generation and I expect it happens when customers upload larger PDF files.

I gave up and later left the project needing this. But the issue was exactly that. Thumbnails failed to be generated for large files.
