Is there a way to prevent a click/touch event on the viewport from cancelling a range selection?

There is the option to fully disable the user interaction through enableUserInteraction. Is this what you're asking for?

What confuses me is that you ask for "cancelling" the range selection. Normally you are starting the range selection through these events and complete it. Not sure how you are starting the range selection that you want to "cancel" it then while user interaction.

Unfortunately more fine grain cancelling of the default user interaction logic as part of events like beatMouseDown is currently not possible and would need implementation.
