For some reason Steam Guides have a limit of 8000 characters per section (no total limit). Steam provides ZERO visibility of this, so it would be extremely useful to have a visualization of how close you are to the character limit when you are editing a section.
I think it would be helpful to have it always visible, perhaps something like a filled in bar below the text area and a count of how many characters you have used out of the maximum, but whatever layout you think looks good is fine. There could be an argument to do it how Discord does with a warning only appearing when you are close to the limit, or you could add an option to hide it, whatever is easiest is the best in my opinion.
Note, this could also apply to other areas such as Custom Info Boxes (these don't have the maxlength attribute set, it has been reported as 8000 or 6800, I haven't tested).
