Addon doesn't work reliably. Firefox on Ubuntu 20.04

How can I troubleshoot this? I am new to using a bug tracker.

Issue:
The addon works erratically. On some websites the addon works 50% of the time, and on some 0% of the time. With the 50% ones, a refresh /sometimes/ fixes the issue, but not reliably so.

System info:

Ubuntu 20.04
System fonts: All set to Atkinson-Hyperlegible-Regular-102.ttf

Firefox 93

Websites used to test:

Works 50% of the time

• teddit.net
• bbc.com
• last.fm

Works 0% of the time

• theguardian.com
• lobste.rs
• google.com
• itch.io

I'll try my best to fix this but I can't make any problems, It's midterm season and many of my professors are testing us. Hopefully I can begin on this in a week.
