so is it specific to DVB common standard, or do you intend to also make support for new IP streaming?

LambdaCrypt is designed to be an open & transparent standard.

While it may be possible to use it in conjunction with DVB, it is neither encouraged nor compliant in terms of standards, since it is not a standardized ciphering system in neither DVB nor ATSC, ISDB, TDMB or DMB.

It's closest competitor is PowerVu, as both do not act as key-generators for the CSA cipher in DVB, but encrypt & decrypt the entire stream, which may neither be intended nor acceptable for certification on said digital broadcasting standards.

And while we do highly encourage to use it in conjunction with open standards such as AV1/VP9+Opus/VP8+Speex/VP3.2+Ogg, we obviously can't and won't prevent commerical impementations of it [through we expect commerical integrators to commit to the project]...

In theory, LambdaCrypt can be used for any application, including IPTV, Steaming and Videoconferencing and would even allow OTP encryption of the actual stream if the keyfile has been stored [and possibly streamed/uploaded] beforehand...

If you're interested, you're free to submit changes and commit code to it.

As for now, the project is being halted due to busyness of the maintainer with boring real-life duties...

Also unlike PowerVu, CSA & CSA3, it does not use "security through obscurity" per design, as violating Kerckhoff's principle should be deemed a disqualifying felony for every programmer regardless of their skillset and qualifications.

The current uploaded data is just the blank concept and partially based around analysis of the strenghts and weaknesses of current content encryption systems.
