Run script before backup

Could you add an option to run a script before backup? I need to dump a database before backup.

Pre and post hooks would be good, I agree. I've got a scripted solution for running restic that sends email notifications about the outcome of the job that are super useful as sanity checks that my workflow continues functioning.
