As we spotted at least one typo (thanks @haeckerbaer!) in #205, this is my suggestion for the management of hotfixes for bugs:
- Target the branch v2.2
- In xx months, release a v2.2.1 with the hotfixes (with 'xx' a number to be agreed on by the group)
- Once the release is done, backport the hotfixes to the branch v2.3

Once this is clarified, I wil edit the readme.md to reflect the maintenance status of each branch & backport procedure.
