You have to know the layout of your database to be able to use this efficiently.

Don't worry - people don't like alpha software
Maybe just post some benchmarks against the c reference implementation once you are a bit more stable in the api.

+1 to adding a README, at least describing what sqlite-d is, the goals for the project, and the license.

I'd like to see that README and a clear license as well. My preference for D libraries is Boost.

As a potential consumer of this library: I'm not that concerned about benchmarks. The ability to go ahead and use SQLite files in this direct low level and D-native manner, that's what I like. Very cool project.
