Description
What is the user problem or growth opportunity you want to see solved?
Currently, no matter what, the custom author name formats as [[User:Custom Name|Custom Name]]. There is no way to make it format as [[User:Username|Custom Name]]. That would be really helpful for me, as I want to be credited under my real name but still have it link back to my user profile.
How do you know that this problem exists today? Why is this important?
I've attempted multiple ways to make this happen, but there is just no way to do it and have it upload in form properly. This is really important for Wikipedia editors who make contributions and want to be credited in a specific way that does not involve their username.
Who will benefit from it?
Wikipedians who make file contributions and want to be credited under their real name but also have their credit link back to their user page.
Anything else you would like to add?
