Eclipse ESP-IDF plugin automatically changes the target to ESP32-P4, I am trying to build for ESP32-H2 but plugin does not work, though thru esp-idf command line terminal it builds, even after setting target from terminal no changes in the Eclipse Plugin

Setting the Correct Target in Espressif-IDE

The issue is likely related to how the launch target is configured within the IDE. Here's how to properly set your target:

1. Use the ESP Target Window: In Espressif-IDE 3.1.0 and later, all target and board configuration options are consolidated into a single ESP Target window. Click the gear icon in the toolbar to open it and select your desired target (ESP32-H2) and the correct serial port. [Espressif IDE 3.1.0]

2. Verify the Launch Target dropdown: In the IDE toolbar, ensure the Launch Target dropdown explicitly shows your ESP32-H2 target. If it doesn't appear, you can add a custom target: [Connect Your Device]

   • Click the launch target dropdown

   • Select ESP Target
   • Enter a name and select the correct serial port

3. Check your ESP-IDF version: Note that Espressif-IDE 3.0 and later only supports ESP-IDF 5.x and above. Ensure your ESP-IDF version is compatible. [Espressif-IDE v3.1.0]

I noticed that your UI is missing the launch bar. Our plugin heavily relies on it, as it allows you to change the target and configure settings more easily.

Could you please go to Preferences → Run/Debug → Launching → Launch Bar and check if the “Enable the Launch Bar” option is enabled?

If you don’t see this option, please make sure that the Launch Bar dependency is installed via the update site.
