Additional notes for reviewers

What this is. 74 skills maintained by Scandit for our own commercial SDK, covering eight product families across nine frameworks. A data-capture-sdk picker skill routes to the right product first, then per-product skills carry integration, migration and troubleshooting guidance. The skills are already distributed through skills.sh, Claude Code, Cursor and the Codex repo marketplace; this submission adds the Copilot channel.

Verified against your gates before submitting, so review time is not spent on avoidable failures:

  • @microsoft/vally runLint, invoked the way eng/external-plugin-quality-gates.mjs does, with skill targets resolved from the manifest: 74 of 74 skills pass at v1.1.1, clean on spec-compliance and valid-refs.
  • The manifest is at .github/plugin/plugin.json, one of the three paths findPluginJson checks, and declares "skills": "./skills/", which resolves to 74 skill directories.
  • Scandit/skills is public, Apache-2.0, and v1.1.1 is an annotated release tag pointing at the full SHA above.
  • Not currently listed: checked plugins/external.json, 37 entries, no Scandit or barcode entries.

Proactive disclosure on the paid-services policy. Scandit is a commercial SDK and requires a licence key. skills/data-capture-sdk/SKILL.md contains a pricing page link, a trial signup link and a "Contact Sales" row, all inside a reference table for developers who ask which product fits. The skills carry an explicit behavioural rule never to raise pricing proactively and never to editorialise about it, and the guidance directs users to generate their own key rather than producing one. Flagging it up front rather than leaving a reviewer to find it.

Verified against the pinned gate version. v1.1.2 passes @microsoft/vally@0.6.0, the version this repository's lockfile pins, at 74 of 74 skills including orphan-files. Two earlier notes for context, since both were fixed in response to this submission: v1.1.1 corrected a per-skill licence declaration that read MIT while the repository is Apache-2.0, and v1.1.2 links every references/ file from SKILL.md with markdown links so nothing under references/ is an orphan. Submit v1.1.2.

One thing worth flagging for other submitters: the current npm latest of vally, 0.11.0, no longer ships the orphan-files grader, so linting with latest reports a clean pass on a tree this gate rejects.
