How to draw plotnine figures on a existing matplotlib ax object?

I no longer see _draw_using_figure in the code base? What is the new way to combine p9 with standard matplotlib plots in the same figure?

To support plot composition (which shipped in v0.15.0 and is gaining more features), plotnine needed more control of the figure so you cannot bring your own figure.

This may be temporary but it is hard to tell at the moment. In any way, it would be nice to see a concrete example of what you are trying to do (may be using plotnine < 0.15). That could help shape the potential solution.
