Temp Logs persistent ?

Using latest version in docker in unraid .

After migration to latest docker version [25.11.29]:

Added /mnt/user/appdata/netalertx-new/log:/tmp/log binded for persistent logs in addition to --tmpfs "/tmp:uid=20211,gid=20211,mode=1700,rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,async,noatime,nodiratime"

is it good idea to save logs or better to leave only in ram ?

btw: in settings : version is : DEVELOPMENT 00000000

It comes down to choice - if you value performance then keep them in tmpfs, if you need data retention for logs, mount it in a persistent location.

Yes, shouldn't be an issue

Interested why removed logs to ram, its seems a lot of logs writes and wear ssd when binded mounted ?

It's mostly a performance configuration and for installations on sdcards constant writes might pose a problem.

I made xml template for unraid users can install as old template not updated.

So for the first time I binded /tmp/log, but then removed as default setting don't have it.

And seems we only need persistent logs in case of debug?

SSDs - not sure, I'm not an expert but probably less write sis better

Yep, seems so for ssd, I removed persistent logs for now..
