I will be using a similar approch in my open-source PLM.
Right now, I am loading STL files, but these are much larger than 3MF.
Workflows for viewing BREP :
FreeCAD -> 3MF -> three.js (3MF Loader)
STEP -> FreeCAD -> 3MF -> three.js (3MF Loader)
IGES-> FreeCAD -> 3MF -> three.js (3MF Loader)
