Bug description
On my Surface 3, when I lock my screen and wish to type in my password on the virtual keyboard, only the first character is accepted - further presses, even backspace or the button to hide the keyboard, do not get processed. So effectively, I can not unlock without attaching the keyboard.
Steps to reproduce
- Install Mint 22.2
- Install the https://github.com/linux-surface kernel via the APT repository
- Reboot
- Log in, then lock the screen
- You now see the virtual keyboard - tap on it to attempt to input the password to unlock
- Only the very first character is accepted, anything after, is entirely ignored
Expected behavior
I expected to be able to type in my password in order to unlock the screen.
Granted, touch screens under X11 are a little "odd", but when in the actual shell and apps, I can absolutely use the on-screen keyboard just fine. Only on the lock-screen does this behaviour happen.
Additional information
I have not had the chance to test this on any other devices unfortunately.
