Can you upload extension to FireFox Add-ons?

It will be great if you can upload the extension there so we can easily install it.

I'm hesitant to upload it as it currently requires a local server to operate. I am open to being convinced that isn't a necessary requirement for uploading to the web extension stores.

IMO this is the right call. Since the user has to come here to get the server, it's no sweat to get the extension here too. Something published where end-users can get it, is expected to pretty much "just work".

well you can design the extension to work with local server too like for example there is an extension on Chrome named "HaramMute", it uses the extension to work with youtube meanwhile locally it provides a software which keeps running as a service i guess and it works the hybrid way.

That's a good example of how to do local-server setup. I'll see what I can do about making it easier to install the server. Unfortunately, I'm quite busy with exams right now so I can't guarantee any specific timeline on this.
