Exterior glow

I gave away my octolamp recently and I wanted to print another but had an idea. In my zoom calls I notice it's tiny sitting there in my background. I don't have a bigger printer but I wondered if I printed the back half of the baseplate white, could get it to cast a colorful shadow around the light as well. Has anyone played with it?

I haven't done that but I think this is a neat idea!

Filament is just going to act as a diffuser and might blur the light too much for the affect. I wonder if you could double side the lights and have the back plate actually hallow so the lights can directly point at the wall. The more LEDs per M on the strip, the better the effect I would think
