Can't sign back into use copilot

Steps to Reproduce:

1. use the accounts menu to sign out (I was also switching profiles while doing this)
2. reload, then click the accounts menu and select the different sign in requests
3. try to use chat

I've been trying to reproduce this for quite a bit and haven't been able to reproduce. What I have seen is:

• Copilot Chat doesn't finish activating until you sign in (idk if that's a good idea, but that's what we do)
• Once you sign in I notice a few second delay of everything loading in. It looks broken for a few seconds and then it kicks in.

I looked at your logs, and there are some interesting things (surely some of it needs clean up):

The vast majority of this is caught errors... but there are 2 uncaught errors... but I haven't been able to see the downsides you've seen of no loading whatsoever.

so, if you happen to have some more concrete steps that'd be really helpful.

5. use accounts to sign into GHPR with alt account (at :27 in the video I select amungeramungus, whereas before I was using amunger)
6. send message

bad state: message times out, model picker is empty, github status icon shows logged in

I switch between two freshly created profiles, with only GHPR extension installed (and copilot from an all-profile-install)

Can you follow these steps so that we can get more information on what's going on?

Enable trace logging

• Open the Command Palette (cmd/ctrl+shift+p)
• Run the Developer: Set Log Level... command
• To the right of Trace, click the double check mark button. ✔️ ✔️ (enables trace logging as the default)

Now wait for the issue to happen or trigger it...

Getting the logs

• Open the Command Palette again (cmd/ctrl+shift+p)
• Run the Output: Show Output Channels... command
• Choose GitHub Authentication
• Copy and paste the contents of what opens in the panel in this issue (if the contents is too large, you may need to upload it as a file)

Do these steps again for these other output channels:

• GitHub Copilot Chat
• GitHub Copilot

Reverting trace logging (optional)

When we're done here, to revert the log level back to the default:

• Open the Command Palette
• Run the Developer: Set Log Level... command
• To the right of Info, click the double check mark button. ✔️ ✔️ (to set the default back to info)

I do repro this with the exact steps and the same errors:

... however, digging further, those are not important. They're from GH EDU and non-terminating.
#282098 will make that clearer.

What else I noticed is that this one call returns undefined:

This is because the extension's account preference is set to the other account... but that account isn't available. I think I need to handle this better for profiles.
