Freezes on videos from playlist download

• Freezes during playlist downloads, when one of the video doesn't have quality as the first one.

🔄 Steps to Reproduce

✅ Expected Behavior

If one of the video doesn't have same quality as the first one, to drop to the nearest one, and then return to the chosen quality for the next video.
If not possible - just give an error and jump to the next video with some remark, informing user about the case.

❌ Actual Behavior

Just freezing and don't downloading other videos. Restart required.

Hi,

Playlist [(https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLc35OwyYq2PRLSQ02JP7buibUIThEgOG3)] still giving errors, but not freezing anymore, just bypassing some videos(9,11-19 of 19 videos). While setting to download just missed videos, they are coming OK.
Maybe this behavior coming as videos are from different authors and just composed to same playlist.

Playlist [(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7IOn3TiUc8&list=PLG49S3nxzAnl_tQe3kvnmeMid0mjF8Le8)] before gave error, now works perfectly.

found one more 'freezing' link:

there declared 103 videos, downloaded only 92.
And I cannot see list of selected videos, just remark, that all are selected.

Thank you so much for the detailed follow-up and for providing the logs They were incredibly helpful

I looked into the logs and found two things going on that caused the freezes:

1. Playlist Aborts: When a video in the playlist didn't match the selected format or encountered an error, the downloader was halting the entire queue. We have updated the download arguments (--ignore-errors and --no-abort-on-error) specifically for playlists, so it will now log the error for that single video and smoothly continue downloading the rest of the playlist.
2. Background Crash: The ytsage_error.log revealed a silent background crash happening when the app tried to save paths to the configuration file, which also contributed to the application "freezing" up. This has also been resolved.

These fixes will be included in the next update. Once the new version is out, please give those playlists another try and let us know if everything flows smoothly
