[Feature request] Adaptive colors

Hello. I would like to see an option to make accent colors or background color of playing cover screen to match album cover.

I suggest to just take the most used pixel of the cover and paint the background that color

The playing cover screen already uses album-cover-based adaptive colors by default.
Right now it does not simply pick the most common pixel color. It uses Android Palette’s mutedSwatch, which is a softer, lower-saturation color chosen to work better as a background/accent color.

What you described sounds closer to picking the most frequent color from the cover image. That is possible, but it may need some filtering because the most common pixel is often black, white, transparent padding, or a border/shadow color rather than the visually dominant album color.

Could you describe the result you expect in a bit more detail? For example, do you want the background to more strongly match the album’s main visible color? @SDD701

Yeah, I hadn't noticed the player has adaptive colors already, my covers were similar, my bad. I'm comparing it with VinylMusicPlayer/VinylMusicPlayer and looks like it matches colors better at my point of view. And I also think the gradient becomes white too soon. Vinyl doesn't have lyrics though, so if it conflicts with accessibility or readability feel free to close the issue. Thanks
