Signature Verification (src/services/certificate-service.ts & src/services/notarizationService.ts): Implement mandatory cryptographic signature verification steps on issued certificates prior to accepting or trusting their issuance state, rejecting untrusted or altered signatures early.

Testing & Verification: Add comprehensive unit/integration tests for valid, invalid, and tampered certificate signatures to guarantee untrusted certificates are safely rejected without breaking valid verification flows.

Standards & Compatibility: Ensure full alignment with project coding standards and existing certificate lifecycle contracts with zero regressions.
