Pulseaudio output sound format and audio filtering

I'm trying to source the DSD-FME application with a Pulseaudio null-sink, connected to RTLSDR-Airband on the other end to monitor DMR frequencies, but I'm facing a sound format and/or filtering issue. The signal sent to DSD-FME by RTLSDR-Airband is not properly decoded. I have investigated sound formats, and it seems to be a mismatch between what RTLSDR-Airband is sending and what DSD-FME expects to receive. Is it possible to configure the RTLSDR-Airband Pulseaudio output sound format to match DSD-FME's expectations?

Is the sound sent by RTLSDR-Airband to the Pulseaudio output filtered in any way, and can such filtering be disabled?
