Your purpose in using this API:
I am developing an application that allows users to search, explore, and study hadith collections with improved navigation, filtering, and contextual understanding.
The API will be used to retrieve hadith texts, metadata, and chapter information in order to provide accurate references and structured search results.
The project is non‑commercial and focused on educational and research purposes.
API rate limits:
Maximum requests per second: 1 request/second
Maximum requests per day: 5,000 requests/day
(These limits are more than enough for my use case.)
Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
Programmatic API access is preferred, because my application needs to fetch hadiths dynamically based on user queries and search filters.
However, if an offline dump is recommended, I am open to using it for indexing and search optimization.
What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
Primarily Arabic and English.
If available, French would also be useful for future expansion.
What programming language will your API client be in?
The API client will be implemented in TypeScript (Next.js) and Python (FastAPI backend).
