Describe the question

I have a multi-distro setup. How do I configure yazi to open directories using lazyvim(vim)? I have tried a few ways, but it seems like it opens it in vim (not neovim) since my alias for opening lazyvim is just vim. Any help is appreciated.

Yes because

Variables
    SHELL           : Some("/bin/zsh")
    EDITOR          : Some("vim")

shows vim as your EDITOR.
I suggest that you can add this in your ~/.zshrc.

export VISUAL=nvim
export EDITOR=nvim
