Description
I would like to use GPXSee to store my GPS tracks that I drive with a motorhome. What I am missing so far is the ability to automatically recognize stops (i.e., longer breaks or stopping points) within a track and display them visually in an optimal way. This display of stops would be an enhancement to the software's range of functions.
Suggestion:
- Detection of stops based on time difference and movement threshold (e.g., speed < 0.5 km/h for >5 minutes). The time duration could perhaps be selectable in a menu, roughly in hours, 1, 3, 5 ... or fixed at 5 hours. Actually, the time during which the position only changes within the noise range (plus or minus 100 meters) would be sufficient to define a stop. The speed would not need to be evaluated.
- Display of stops as markers or color-coded points in the track
- Optional: Export of stops as separate waypoints
Benefits:
- Better analysis of breaks during hikes, trips, or journeys. We RV enthusiasts in particular would like to remember where we spent the night :-).
- Support for tour planning and post-processing
Velmi dekuji za dobrou praci na tomto programu :-)
