Claudia repo cloned and built today with:

bun install
bun run tauri build

Clicked an MCP menu option and got:

Failed to load MCP servers. Make sure Claude Code is installed.

System Information

• macOS: macOS 15.5 (24F74)
• Kernel: Darwin 24.5.0
• Model: MacBook Pro (Mac15,9)
• Chip: Apple M3 Max
• Cores: 16 (12 performance and 4 efficiency)
• Memory: 128 GB
• Architecture: arm64 (Apple Silicon)

My node was installed using nvm. Is this related? So, Claude Code is not installed in a fixed location in the system but in my nvm directory?

same questions. I've managed to make Claudia see my Claude Code installation after using irm https://claude.ai/install.ps1 | iex command but now the app says it can't save settings, can't add MCP servers etc.

I also have node with nvm and having the error with the MCP servers, what has worked for me is running the executable instead of the app itself.

There are 2 options based on how you prefer installing Claudia:

Using installer from the page

• Add an alias to your .zshrc or .bashrc

alias claudia="/Applications/Claudia.app/Contents/MacOS/claudia > /dev/null 2>&1 &"

If building from source

1. Build from source

bun run tauri build

2. add an alias to your .zshrc or .bashrc files in order to run Claudia using the executable.

alias claudia="<path to where you have Claudia cloned>/claudia/src-tauri/target/release/claudia > /dev/null 2>&1 &"

Then when running claudia in your terminal, it should open the app and you'll be able to see the MCP servers
