Important Note: This PR is to be part of release-3.1.0 and therefore, it should be merged into develop after the v3.0.0 Modelling Performance Enhancement milestone has been completed and tagged (see #173).
This PR includes new metrics like the chi2 metrics per image and the reduced value.
