… or full state name as argument. I've separated this PR from a separate one to delete the other scripts so you can more easily cherry pick how you want to handle the deprecated scripts.
I tried to not change the calculations, although I did remove some unused variables, as well as renamed some variables for clarity.
I also did not alter the output file as I was not sure about the importance of the formatting. However I did add a line that avoids creating an empty file if no data is returned in favor of printing a message to the terminal.
I'm happy to make edits if you desire any.
