Summary

  • document how to retrieve a Telegram group Chat ID and forum topic Message Thread ID
  • explain how to configure the Message Thread ID in the Checkly UI
  • add messageThreadId to the TelegramAlertChannel advanced example and option reference
  • note that CLI 8.18.0 or later is required
  • remove the outdated configuration screenshot that did not show the new field

Why

Telegram alert channels can now target a specific forum topic across the backend, frontend, and CLI. The existing docs only covered direct-chat IDs and did not expose the new UI or CLI option.

Validation

  • git diff --check
  • frontmatter and canonical integrity check (642 MDX files)
  • legacy redirect destination check (184 redirects)
  • sitemap regeneration produced no diff
  • mint broken-links
  • Telegram JSON example parsed successfully
  • focused Checkly CLI Telegram construct and codegen tests (3 tests)
