ReviewerXperts

Setup

How to install virtualenv

Install pip first

sudo apt-get install python3-pip

Then install virtualenv using pip3

sudo pip3 install virtualenv

Setup the project

Clone the repository and navigate to the project directory

git clone git@github.com:chenjiayi8/ReviewerXperts.git
cd ReviewerXperts

Create a new virtual environment

chmod +x ./setup.sh
./setup.sh

Create a copy of the .env.example file and name it .env:

cp .env.example .env

Set the SECRET_KEY environment variable in the .env file to a secure random string.

You can generate a new secret key using the following command:

python -c 'import secrets; print(secrets.token_hex(32))'

Set up the Django project

python manage.py migrate
python manage.py createsuperuser

Running the Application

python manage.py runserver

The development server should now be running at http://127.0.0.1:8000/. You can access the admin site at http://127.0.0.1:8000/admin/.
