Looks good; if you can back out the change to BUILDING.md, I'll address that in a separate PR later tonight and merge this one.

Also, I adjusted the binary path in BUILDING.md which I think is no longer correct.
Note: This is a stop gap measure to at least get a sensible error message. I want to supersede this soon ( ™️ ) with a proper dialog for actually setting the PIN.
