Rumble Mod Manager v1.4.7-alpha
I will probably not be working on this project much anymore unless it has major bugs that need to be fixed.
It's in a working state currently, but it's not the best, and it probably won't be fixed.
I have moved my focus onto other projects, such as the Replay Mod.
Changes:
- Made it use the Steam URI protocol for launching the game
- (Hopefully) Fixed MelonLoader installing without warning
- Added back toggle for auto updating mods on first launch
The main issue here was MelonLoader downgrading for some reason, so hopefully this fixes it
I couldn't recreate it, so I have no idea.
Good luck, modders!
Rumble Mod Manager v1.4.6-alpha
Uhm
It may have been a little bit since the last update.
Really I've had no motivation to work on it with all the profile stuff going on behind the scenes, and just wanting to actually play the game itself instead of working on tools for it.
But, there has been one major issue for the past few months affecting a lot of people, including myself.
So I decided to finally go into my messy code and fix it. It's a small update that simply fixes the mod manager just... not appearing?
Don't ask how that happened, because I don't really know. Something about microsoft being horrible with storing registry keys.
Changes
- Literally just fixed the invisible windows issue, thats it.
Hopefully that'll make it better for a lot of people, don't know when the next update will be but uh... probably not anytime soon XD
Though, it won't be 6 months like it was this time.
Thanks for still using this tool I kinda forgot about, surprised it still works.
Rumble Mod Manager v1.4.5-alpha
So.
Remember how I’ve been trying to fix the updater since v1.4?
And then again in v1.4.1... and 1.4.2... and definitely 1.4.3...
And then just 2 hours ago in v1.4.4?
Yeah.
None of those worked.
But I swear this one does.
🔧 Changes
- The updater no longer chokes trying to replace files it’s literally using.
- Added the latest changelog to update message
- Made it check for the latest release instead of custom json file
- That’s it. That’s the whole fix.
- It’s a small update, but... it's the most important one.
You’ll still have to install this one manually (of course),
but this is the last time.
From here on out, updates will actually update.
Unless I break that too. But hey, let’s pretend I won’t.
Thanks for sticking around through the cursed updater arc.
Also, does anyone actually even read these? I am curious. Am I talking to myself here?
Rumble Mod Manager v1.4.4-alpha
Wow. It's been two months since the last update?
That's like... a whole sixth of the year. Time really does fly, doesn't it? I guess that calls for v1.4.4,
the "okay fine, I'll fix it" patch.
🔧 Changes
- Sorting options save between sessions.
- Fixed an issue where Thunderstore sorting just... didn't. M wasn't after C and it hurt.
- Selecting local mods with modifiers (Shift or Ctrl) was being wonky with favorited mods.
- Fixed detection for launch buttons and running from external sources.
- Thunderstore Mods page now scales and resizes like a civilized window. (More to come)
- Forms now remember their size and position, which I don't think anyone asked for, but oh well.
Also...
Some other gremlins probably got squashed while I was scavenging in the spaghetti.
If something broken now works, let's pretend it was on purpose.
And apparently I've been posting these releases in Debug Mode, but... nobody has complained so let's say I haven't.
Thanks for still using this thing, I'm surprised it still works.
I'll also hopefully be publishing updates more frequently now, albeit smaller little bug fixes and features.
See you again when I randomly remember a bug at 2 a.m. 😔
Rumble Mod Manager v1.4.3-alpha
Wow. it's been a while, huh?
Last update was January 18th, and here we are, well into March. Time flies when you're, uh... not updating your mod manager, I guess.
Anyway — v1.4.3 has finally arrived!
This is a chunky bugfix update, mostly designed to iron out the oddities and put out fires that I may or may not have started myself.
🔧 Changes
- HOPEFULLY FINALLY FIXED the automatic updater!
(The solution is incredibly scuffed 😎) - Fixed manually introduced mods being removed when loading a profile
(sorry 'bout that, they didn't deserve it) CheckForModsUpdate()no longer takes naps- The update system and "Show Mod on Thunderstore" button are both functional again. I believe?
- Some other small bugs were squished — I don't remember what they were, but they're dead now. Probably.
It is not a flashy update, but if something was acting up, there is a good chance it is working now.
Thanks for sticking with me, and as always, happy modding!
(And go ahead, sure, give that updater another try. It just might work this time 👀)
Rumble Mod Manager v1.4.2-alpha
Happy New Years, Everyone!
...Well I'm a little late but oh well
v1.4.2 is here! This update isn't much, and quite honestly I don't remember what changed! Maybe a bugfix or 2?
Keeping up with what you've done is harder than you think... I need a better system for that.
But aside from my questionable organization skills, for today’s update (January 18th, 2025), here’s what’s changed:
Changes
- Automatic mod updating when first opening the manager (if toggled, of course)
- Able to run in the background (might allow for future automation capabilities, but currently this does nothing)
- Changed the close button to a red version of the in game button
- Added a minimize button (a blue button!)
A few bug fixes that I really can't remember, but I'll try and list them:
- HOPEFULLY finally fixed the issue with issue #2
- Fixed the error "Failed to preload mod panels"
- When downloading a mod from an online download link, the update button for the mod doesn't work
- Version number doesn't reset when going from known to unknown mod
- Stupidly threw an error when you didn't have any mods... so yeah, that's fixed!
Nothing too big this time, but I hope these improvements help out. As always, if you have any feedback or run into issues, feel free to reach out!
Thanks for your support, and happy modding!
(Oh yeah, I guess we can test that update feature now!)
